  • Partner with HR on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
  • Establish and maintain department standards, checklists, quality controls, and operating procedures.
  • Ensure tools, machinery, materials, and work areas are maintained and stored safely.
  • Promote compliance with safety requirements and PPE standards; ensure incidents and near misses are reported, investigated, and addressed.
  • Resolve escalated quality issues, damage, warranty concerns, client concerns, and scope-related issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement in workflow, training, equipment, production processes, and shop-to-field coordination.
  • Provide technical direction and hands-on support for complex cabinetry, finishing, manufacturing, or installation issues when required.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Cabinetmaker or related cabinetry/carpentry trade certification, or equivalent senior-level cabinetry and millwork experience.
  • Progressive leadership experience managing a cabinetry, millwork, manufacturing, or construction-related department.
  • Strong knowledge of cabinetry production, finishing, installation, woodworking machinery, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of wood finishing, staining applications, spray equipment, and spray-booth operation and maintenance.
  • Experience leading supervisors, lead hands, senior tradespeople, and installation teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage production and installation schedules, suppliers, inventory, equipment, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, scopes, schedules, and job-cost information.
  • Strong organizational, planning, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Sound judgment, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to make timely decisions.
  • Experience with digital scheduling, documentation, reporting, and performance-tracking tools; Buildertrend experience is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety, quality assurance, and continuous-improvement practices.
  • Comfortable working across office, shop, and active construction-site environments.
  • Ability to occasionally perform hands-on work and lift up to 50 lbs independently, with heavier lifting completed with assistance.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Leadership opportunity with significant influence over department performance and growth.
  • Collaborative, hands-on, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Opportunity to lead skilled professionals across both shop and installation operations.
  • A role with direct impact on quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and project success.

We are seeking a proactive, organized, and accountable leader who combines strong cabinetry expertise with the ability to plan ahead, communicate effectively, develop people, and drive consistent operational performance.
